Report of the XVIIth Art Week of Cecina The XVIIth edition of the Art Week of Cecina from 30th July to 6th August 2006 was held every night from 21 to 23,30 hrs in the historic village Cecina of the city Toscolano Maderno, Lake of Garda. The festival has been visited by a large number of Italian residents, visitors as well as foreign tourists. The estimated number was about 4000 – 4.500 persons. The thirty art exhibits, exposed in the village were of excellent quality, every evening a different nation presented herself with a specific programme which has been introduced by the consul general of Milan of that country. The following nations participated officially: China (for the first time), Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakian Republic, Rumania and Czech Republic. The final evening was dedicated to Italy. The art performances had a good artistic quality and a refined taste of presentation. |
